Ha, tell me about it. I've found that the template has a lot to do with the color scheme (after chucking four previous versions of my own blog and settling on all-purpose white).
suzanna: it's funny i have your blogs as one to look at in terms of look! ... it's very interesting how different we see our things and how other people sees it... :) I want something very plain because i don't want the design of my blog to overshadow the content. I don't like "flamboyant" but too minimal can be too cold ... then my dearest hubby, who loves me more than anyone else, keeps reminding me "how boring my blog is" so that's really helpful ... :p
aretha: thanks so much aretha! i think im going to keep it like this until i really find what i like... let's see how long it lasts...
Also, if you aren't working with a pro template (i.e Style Bubble or others), take a look at Blogdorf Goodman for an example of what can be done with the free Blogger templates. That's the best one, I think, working with basic artistic level.
My name is Patricia Yagüe and I live in New York City where I work as a fashion stylist. I was born and raised in Madrid although I started to travel at age 17. I've lived in Dublin, Rome and now NY. I love the fact that fashion is such a powerful tool, something that people denies as such but religions, politics and wars all have their own uniforms, their own colors, and that's the first thing we learn to distinguish, even before knowing their beliefs.

The experiments were kind of frustrating.
